REACH

REACH is an European Community Regulation for chemicals and their safe use (EC No 1907/2006) which came into force on June 1st 2007. It stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. Aim of REACH is the improvement of protection of human health and environment by identifying risks of chemicals and their use. New on this regulation is that it is the manufacturers and importers within the EU who have to gather all information on the chemical substances they produce or deal with (>1t per year) and proof their safe use and handling and with this have to register at a central European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki.

Also metal powders are regarded as chemicals under REACH. GGP Metalpowder AG is fully aware about the responsibility under REACH and has already registered copper for >1000t/year and made pre-registration for other substances. So all products you buy as downstream user (DU) from GGP Metalpowder AG are covered by REACH and our material data safety sheets (MSDS) are according to REACH. Substances of very high concern (SVHC), as they are published from the ECHA in the cancidate list, are not contained in our products.
GGP Metalpowder AG is continuously working on REACH, is active in working groups and has internal and external specialists dealing with REACH. If you have further questions concerning REACH, please do not hesitate to contact us.
